I am a proud mom, wife, sister, volunteer, activist, and friend.
My entire professional career has been as a successful media executive in the area of magazines, radio, and podcasts.
Last year, my son Jake got married in beautiful Lake Tahoe, where he gifted his groomsman custom-made fur felt fedora-style hats—design creations that were undeniably “ouevre d’art”.
Inspired by this experience, Jake and I decided to dive into the art of hat-making. After a year of steaming, pressing, molding, and honing my creative voice, I have developed a style and design that mixes traditional with a bit of a bold edge.
The sourcing process has been a thrilling adventure, as I have had so much fun exploring antique shops and flea markets for one-of-a-kind fabrics, charms, and leather to elevate each hat.
I’ve also had the privilege of meeting talented hat weavers in the rural hills of Ecuador. The dedication, skill, and artistry they pour into every hat left me in awe. From selecting the palm fronds to the meticulous hours of weaving, this craft showcases generations of true artistry.
I am excited to share Jak & Mac Hats with you—crafted with deep respect for the art, meticulous attention to detail, and a touch of fun.
Enjoy Jak and Mac Hats. Made for a lifetime of memories!
